Despite the termination of the textile agreements between the USA and Europe and developing countries, as well as occasional difficulties with the huge immigrant workforce, CMT continued to push forward. They invested in a 600 million Rupee expansion of the company (just under 13 million pounds), which began with the erection of a modestly sized bale press building, measuring 24m x 80m, in which waste fluff from the existing spinning factory was pressed into bales for export to Italy.

Our client liked the building's design, with its curved roof, Chinese red sides, eave overhang and rounded gutter.
